Agreement changes from Authoring state to OutForSignature state unexpectedly

My agreement changes from Authoring state to OutForSignature state when I call the PUT /agreements/ID/formFields endpoint.

I don't want this to happen, and nowhere I can find in the documentation says that this should happen. Any ideas on how to prevent this?

(This is the v6 REST API)
