We have an agreement template for customers to change their names. The template's attachment has a merge field for customer's current name. When the name is long, the merged PDF shows it being cut off. The merge field is not smart enough to detect the length of the name to automatically adjust its size to it. If I add extra spaces at the end of the merge field in the word document, it will leave a large blank space if the name is too short. We need a fix to this issue. Anyone has any ideas? Thank you!

Hi Hong276357314dbt,
Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.
Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the field as it appears with the name cut off?
Also, let us know how you are adding the form fields to the PDF and sending it for signature. Screen recording will be more helpful.
It will help us to understand the issue and investigate it further or provide the correct information.
Let us know if you need any help.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,
I opened a case and Avik helped me with the word document, which is used as an attachment for the agreement template. He referred to this article for tweeking the merge field:
Refer to the 'Controlling field size with directives', 'Specifying Font Appearance' & 'Specifying Field Alignment' sections of the helpx below for further enhancements to the document appearance:
https://helpx.adobe.com/in/sign/using/text-tag.html
For now, we adopted the newest version of the word doc Avik tweeked for us. It's showing the entire account name with some extra space before and after. I'll be tweeking more to see if I can make it look better. I think for now, the above article will be my guideline on working on this word doc.
Thank you!
