E Signature and real estate when there is an offer and counter offer before there is agreement

E Signature is a wonderful tool for real estate contracts, but the problem I am having is I get an offer signed, then present that to the owner and likely there is a counteroffer. But Adobe locks the signed offer and I cannot change it anymore. I need this system to keep the document open until a price and conditions are agreed upon. I am in New Zealand and this is the way contracts are negotiated, it must only be done by signed offers etc. Is there a way to use e-signature and keep the document "open" for changes?

Regards Franklin.

Unfortunately, no.  Once all parties have signed the document is locked.

Hi Franklin_Revolution,

Thank you for reaching out.

Once the document is signed, it is impossible to keep it open to make changes.

However, as per your requirement, you may try creating a workflow. Please check the Acrobat Sign Workflow feature here: https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/using/workflow-designer-signature-workflow.html. Check if that can help your workflow get the document signed.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
