Echosign is automatically setting a password on a signed document

I select "no password" and send the document for signature. When it comes back it is password protected. I need to combine it with another document in order to submit the entire package to my client and it is requiring a password to open. During the signature process it didn't advise any of the individuals signing it that it was assigning a password, nor did it alert me. How do I stop it from doing this?

Hello Teresa,

It seems that you are looking to modify the signed PDF received through E-Sign. For that, the documents are encrypted and they cannot be modified due to security reason.

Hi Teresa,

May I know on which OS are you working on? Also please let us know whether you are using EchoSign from the web initerface or from Acrobat Pro DC.

Thanks,

Abhishek

The only work around I have found is to download the file and instead of saving it I move it (drag and drop) into the desired folder.

Somehow on my system "save as" adds a password while moving the file does not (using OSX, may not work on other operating systems).
