Fill and Sign Removing Check Boxes From Document

I have a PDF form that has checkboxes.  I filled out the form on my Windows PC and emailed it to my gmail account, so that I could open it on my ipad, so that I can add my signature..  However, when I open it with Adobe Fill and Sign, all of the checkboxes are gone. These are checkboxes that are part of the document, not ones that I added. I have done this several times in the past with no problems.  I'm not sure what is going on.  How can I fix this.

Hey Brett,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the trouble.

As you are filling the form in a desktop application, could you please confirm if you are using the Fill & Sign tool or there are already form fields added in the form?

Would you mind sharing that from or link to the form with us? Share the exact steps you do to open and fill in the PDF form.

Did you try uploading the PDF to Document Cloud and then access it using the Files > Document Cloud option provided in the Acrobat Reader mobile application?

As you have emailed the PDF to your Gmail account, try downloading the document first and then try to open it in the application. Check if that does the trick.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

The check boxes are already in the document, if that is what you are asking.  I check the boxes with Acrobat Reader on my Windows PC, then email it to my gmail account so that I can open it on my ipad.  I tried sending it without any boxes checked, and they still disappear.

I sent the pdf file to my gmail account, and selected the attachment from my ipad and chose the option to open it in Adobe Fill and Sign. I tried, as you suggested, saving it to my icloud drive and locally using the acrobat application.  No matter how I try and do it, the chack boxes are removed from the document in Fill and Sign.  If I open it using Acrobat, on my ipad, the check boxes are still there.  Unfortunately, I can't add my signature from acrobat.

Hey Brett,

Sorry for the delay in response.

If the issue still persists, would you mind sharing that PDF with us?

We would like to replicate the behavior at our end to further investigate this issue.

Let us know if the issue is already resolved.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
