how can i make it where if data is entered into a field it is mirrored to another field within the document?

I do not want them named the same as I don't want the second one appearing until after it is entered into the first field.

Hi,

If the form fields have the same name then the data entered in one field will be auto populated in other with the same name. For example, if there is a form field named custom field 1 in one document and there is another field with the same name(custom field 1) in the other document and you upload them together into a single transaction and send the document, then the data entered in custom field 1 in one document will be auto populated in custom field 1 of other document as well. So can I do that in EchoSign? I don't want them to be identical as I only want the signer to be able to fill in one field then it populate to the other.

you can use a calculated field as well. Though using duplicated fields can work too.

one question first, how are you adding the fields?

are you using the drag and drop tool, or using text tags in word, or acrobat form fields

  • I figured it out - i had to make the field calculated and then use (fx) and select the field I wanted to mirror

Do you know anything about acrobat because I'm needing help with this form in Acrobat as well as far as setting special permissions by field and creating a flow (i dont' want field b to open until there is data in field a...etc)
