How do you make a custom text field in eSign?

I'm trying to make my custom field be in this format: 1234-56-7. I can't figure out how to make that happen using a custom expression. Any tips or tricks? I used a text field and selected custom regular expression.

I would recommend to add three separate text fields and provide Maximum character limit in each of them. Here is the reference for help:
