Is it possible to set up an agreement with an expiration date and reminder once it is completed?

Hello all,

I would like to know if it is possible to set up an agreement to have an internal expiration date and reminder for 6 months after it is completed.  Is that possible?

Say I send out an agreement to our client 1st, then the owner automatically receives it after client signs.  Once the owner has signed (as it may not be the same date as the client) an expiration date automatically activates for 6 months after the owner signs it and that the document will remind me or whomever I designate that the agreement has expired or is about to expire so we can send out a new one.

A problem we are having is agreements expire with regular clients and quite honestly, we forget or don't catch it right away.  That could be a problem as could be in violation with the state for operating with an expired agreement.  Thus, we are working on a way to avoid this and here I am asking you all.  Is it possible?

I tried googling the answer and all it came up with was the "Manage" page and I think it was for reminders that are "In Progress" not completed, but then there was another page that mentioned expiration dates as if it was for completed agreements but I could not find this "Manage" page they were telling me to go to.

I didn't post a document because this isn't specific to just me, this would be something available to anyone, if it exists.  Plus, I would have to heavily edit the agreement for privacy.  If I absolutely need to post one, let me know.

I appreciate your time and thank you in advance.

J

Dear Mariah,

Thank you for the suggestion about expiration dates.  The recommendation you made seems to only apply to agreements that are not completed and the deadline or expiration date applies to the signing of the agreement.  What I am looking for is a way to set up a reminder or notification for 6 months AFTER an agreement is completed as ours expire in that time frame and we don't want to operate and possibly be in a penalty with the state if the agreement has expired and we accidentally overlooked it.

Hi johnsbox,

Thank you for reaching out.

Once the document is completed, the expiration or reminder cannot be added to it, as the transaction has already been completed.

You may share your suggestion on this with the team via this page: https://adobe.ly/3Z3WCct

Thanks,

Meenakshi
