Through Little Snitch, I'm getting this error message:
Akamai Technologies, Inc.
netsession_mac wants to connect to cñ.redswoosh.akadna.net on TCP port 443 (helps)
netsession_mac wants to connect to log.client.akadns.net on TCP port 80
Akamai certificate expired 4-12-2019 at 7:59 PM
I have InDesign CS6, FlashPlayer, and Photoshop Elements on my laptop. What do I need to do to update the Amamai certificate?Adobe.com is the company using Akamai.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Just did some Googling and DocuSign was the victim of a phishing attack around October 31, 2019, so I seem to be one of the late recipients of that. Trashing that email after sending it to spam@Docusign.net. Thanks for all of your help.

Tmbrown, besides the error in Little Snitch, do you face any problems with downloading InDesign CS6? What version of Photoshop Elements are you using? Were you able to download the installation files successfully?

Jeff, I own InDesign CS6 (registered years ago) and paid $600 for it, so there was no downloading. I purchased Photoshop Elements also and own registered copies of versions 15 and 18. I have not used PE in a while; just thought it might be relevant that it is on my MacBook Pro. Again, no downloading was involved. The Little Snitch error just began yesterday...out of the blue.

Then what triggered your error, Tmbrown, if you are not downloading the applications from Adobe?

Jeff, it had been happening for the past two or three days each morning when I turned on my laptop. I had always been afraid to mess with anything in Little Snitch, but after beginning this thread, I went in and made a rule to approve any outgoing connection for netsession_mac. That seems to have solved the problem.
I just got an email from DocuSign Signature Service asking me to review and sign an invoice. Did this thread trigger that email? I have not clicked on any links in case it was phishing or something.

Ok, thanks, Tmbrown. Akamai is not owned by Adobe. We did use to partner with them to utilize their download technology for our perpetual products.
I moved your public forum discussion over to the Adobe Sign forum, but I have significant doubts that the request for signature triggered anything Akamai related.
I would recommend contacting Akamai if you still have concerns. Alternately, you may want to reach out to Little Snitch Support or Community to get a better understanding of what type of errors you need to take action on.

Alkamai still refers people to adobe.com. I didn't think Alkamai had anything to do with the alleged DocuSign invoice, but I didn't know if Adobe had triggered the request. What is the Adobe Sign forum all about?

Tmbrown, Akamai was only ever used to manage the downloads. It never had any interaction when running the apps themselves. You already stated you did not download any Adobe software titles recently. As part of the process of downloading the installation files, the akamai download manager would uninstall itself when done.
You have a good point, Docusign is a competitor, so your next action may be to follow up with them.
