Hello, i have created a PowerAutomate flow to automatically send me an email with the signed agreement PDF as an attachment upon workflow completion.

The flow run fine, but for some reason the PDF in the email is password protected.

i need the PDF not password protected....help...

On the other hand, is there another way to automatically email/download/save the signed PDF without using PowerAutomate?  i tried going into Adobe sign workflow but it is not working for me...

Documents will always be protected when signed with Adobe Sign.  No way to "un protect" them.

Thanks for responding.  i should clarify.  i understand it is protected to prevent editing.  however, it is asking for a password to open the PDF file.  and i don't even know what the password is.

i need to be able to open the PDF file as-is, without any password

Not possible.  The passoword is set by Adobe exactly for security and legal purposes.

I can confidently tell you, it can be done. My former coworker set up a flow similar to this and it brought in all the Adobe PDF;s and none were password protected. The flow ran for about 4 months. But his flow stopped working when he left and now Im trying to recreate. Have done it exactly the same, except in the new environment... but it's not working the same... It bring the items back, password protected. Any help, would be great.

Hi Kris323136330p2u,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

The final document is password protected only if you set a password for the final document before sending it for signature.

If you are not adding it, please let us know if this happens with all documents you send for signature.

Could you please share the screen recording of how you opened the document?

You mentioned that you tried the Acrobat Sign flow, which did not work. Please share more information so we can check this.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi @Meenakshi Negi

i had to use a different template:

"Save an Adobe Acrobat Sign completed agreement to SharePoint library"

With this, it is now working as expected.

Thanks!
