"final test report" vs "final audit report"

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding a document that looks like an audit report but does not state "audit report" or "final audit report" left below the title or header (that states the name of the signed document) but "final test report". As the report is in German language I am not 100% sure if the translation is correct (in German it is "abschließender Testbericht"). If it were a final audit report it would state "abschließender Prüfbericht" according to helpx.adobe. I do not think that it is an "interim report" either because that should not fit to the translation. I cannot think of any other translation of German "Test" as test. So, does anybody know under which circumstances you get a "final test report". Thank you very much in advance!

Without more context this is hard to tell. An audit is a kind of test after all.

The problem is that the context is not that clear to me, either.  There is an allegation that a contract has been signed via Sign in 2020. The contract document itself does not have a Transaction ID on it. What else is strange is that the "audit report" provided looks like an actual audit report but does not use the (German) word (for) audit report in the proper translation shown in the German version of helpx.adobe. Instead it uses a word ("Testbericht") which I cannot find any information for on the German helpx.adobe. I have also checked the actual wordings in the German helpx.adobe of the speficic time in 2020 - it just does not occur there and nowhere else when I search via google.

A guess would be that you might get this wording when you use a developers account? (The German words for) Test report just sounds less official or definitive as audit report...

Hello,

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

The difference between "Final Test Report" and "Final Audit Report" in Adobe Acrobat Sign’s "Configure Written Proof" settings relates to the type of compliance documentation generated:

  1. Final Audit Report:

    • This is the detailed audit trail included in the Certificate of Completion (CoC). It logs all transactional events (e.g., signer actions, timestamps, IP addresses) for compliance with standards like eIDAS.

    • Required for legal validity in regulated industries.

  2. Final Test Report:

    • Likely a legacy or testing-related report (not standard terminology in current Adobe docs). It may refer to a summary or test output used during configuration validation, but it does not replace the audit trail needed for compliance.

See these articles for more information: Agreement Activity log and Audit Report, and Agreement history and audit report

The term "final test report" (abschließender Testbericht) might be used in specific contexts, such as developer accounts or internal testing, and is not a standard term found in Adobe's official documentation. If the document in question does not have a Transaction ID and uses "Testbericht" instead of "Prüfbericht," it might indicate a non-standard or internal document. I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
