"Template Type" not displaying

New Here ,
Jun 26, 2018 Jun 26, 2018

Hello!

I desperately need to create Reusable Form Field Layer templates however when I go to create a new template, the "Template Type" option does not appear anywhere. I cannot edit or change the template type anywhere that I can find. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi Peps2018,

The Reusable template feature is only currently available through the Adobe Sign Business or Enterprise subscription.

It may well be that the Template Type option doesn't appear anywhere for that reason. To speak to the Adobe Sign team to find out which subscription you hold, or to discuss an upgrade- please call 0800 912 9926.

Kind regards,

You can make changes in the fields not the underlying text or images.

This should be a feature across all adobe sign products. Some of us only need the smaller plans and do not feel supported by adobe only catering to teams greater than 10 people.

I agree. This will prevent me from renewing. I will have to find another program which offers this capability.

Hi Marla,

You won't need to purchase 10 licenses of the Adobe Sign Business subscription to gain access to the Reusable Template feature.

I've dropped you a private message to put you in touch with Adobe Account Manager to share pricing. Please note that any unused fees made towards your current subscription will be refunded when you upgrade.

Kind regards,

This works for me because we're always making edits and to set up hundreds of form fields every time is nuisance.  In Acrobat DC, available for free with your basic subscription, add the desired form fields for your template, then assign the form field by editing your form field name according to what you need (right click, properties, name).

For example if you form field needs to be:

prefilled, rename it to "nameoffield_es_:prefill"

signer 1, "nameoffield_es_:signer1"

Here is the full list of text tags: Adobe Sign Text Tag Guide.

Just don't use the {{     }} that are at the beginning and at the end.

Now when you upload it as a template to Adobe Sign it's all there.

Happy signing!
