Social Security Medicare Part B application signed at Adobe site not reached SSA - 15 days

Hello,

My wife and I completed the on line Social Security Medicare Part B application forms and signed them electronically at the Adobe site on September 22, 2022. We got acknowledgements via email that the forms have been successfully completed. However, even after 15 days, they do not show up at the Social Security website. We have called Social Security multiple times (we have to be on hold for over 1 hour for each call, as you can imagine), but they are not able to see the applications in their system, too. We even went personally to the Social Security office (2 1/2 hour wait), but they have no idea what's going on. We called today (October 6, 2022) but they still can't see them.

Because of this, we don't have any health coverage (even though they say they will cover retroactively), and have to pay in full out of pocket for everything.

Is there any way that you can help?

I also used the online Medicare part B sign up and signed on Adobe. This was on 10/2/2023. Has anyone had any issues getting this to SSA? Has anyone had any success with this method?

No. SSA is not responding. Adobe in not respoding. I sent legal notices by fax to Adobe and submitted complaints in writing to SSA.  Nothing has been resolved.

It doesn't work this way. You have to print and mail (by USPS) to SSA.

Did SSA backdate your Medicare approval start date to when you initially applied online?

We had the same problem and tried calling the local SSA office and they advised to email the application, which we did, and so far no response. Now we are considering mailing too.

Yes, they started my coverage retroactively without any issues. Please don't waste your time. Just send it by Certified Mail asap. If there is a Social Security office nearby, make an appointment and bring copies with you to submit in person. Take an official acknowledgment. Remember, we need the coverage. It's in our own interest to get it done. Everything else is extraneous.

I’m really sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. It’s essential to keep following up regularly, and it might help to contact your local Medicare office directly for assistance.

They can often provide more immediate help. Just like with the SSS Contribution Table, ensuring all your documents are submitted correctly is crucial, so double-checking the process might also be beneficial. Don’t lose hope; persistence can pay off!
