Good day,
I have a text field with "comb of" option (10 characters, for example) switched on.
When I'm simply try to fill it - all works as expected - each character on it's place:
The problems appears, when I'm trying to use such field for E-Sign. Assume it's date field with custom formatting. I'm using next field name for it:
Dte_es_:signer1:date:format(Date,”mm-dd-yyyy”)
See - the result value have 10 characters length.
The date value filled by e-sign api is OK, but in result signed PDF, comb of option is ignored, and characters collapsed:
Thanks.

Hi Petrack,
Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.
Could you please tell us how the form fields were added to the document? If possible, please share the document you used to send for signature. We will try to replicate the behavior for further investigation.
Let us know if the issue has been resolved already.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hello,
Attached is the template that I was attempting to adapt. The Fields are how
the IRS distributed it. As you'll see, the fields for Social Security Number
and Employer Identification are Combed, but they turn into a single field
with uneven spacing.
My work-around was to flatten the PDF and make a field with validation based
on the previous digit and only allowing 0-9.
The fields are also dependent on the radio button selected in 3a. Ticking
"Individual/Sole Proprietor, enables SSN, all others EIN. There are
dependencies within the other radio buttons.
The template is in my account, you may access it if able, otherwise, please
let me know how I can share it:
Form W-9 (v2024) - Template - Prefill Before Signatory
Cheers,
-Petro
