Hello Lone Tree,

Can you let us know if you are signing the document using Adobe Reader XI?

If that's the case, you can refer to this link:

EchoSign Help | Sending | Adobe Reader / Acrobat | How to sign/send

If the fields under Sign are greyed out, then I would recommend you to use "Only I Sign" feature by logging into EchoSign.

Here is the link:

Sending | EchoSign Web | Only I Sign

Let us know if you need more help.

Regards,

-Rijul

Hello lone tree,

Can you let us know what exactly is happening when you try to sign the document using Adobe Reader?

Also, you can try directly logging into your EchoSign account and use "Only I Sign" to esign the document. Here is the link for reference:

Sending | EchoSign Web | Only I Sign

AFTER software update last week -

In Adobe Reader, "add signature" returns: To begin signing, choose the 'Drag New Signature Rectangle' button, and then drag out the area where you would like your signature to appear. Once you finish dragging out the desired area, you will be taken to the next step of the signing process. Choices are: Cancel OR Drag New

Signature Rectangle...

"Drag New Rectangle" doesn't help anything...

BEFORE update, signature popped up and was easily added!

Hello lone tree,

Thanks for the update!

It seems that you are placing Digital Signatures in the PDF for signing it. If you don't want to use them, you can change the saved signatures by going to Sign section->Clicking drop down arrow in front of Place Signatures and click change saved signature.

As Digital Signatures are supported by Acrobat, for further issues, I would recommend to contact Acrobat Support team:

Unfortunately, you are a victim of 'greyed out'.

This is a common affliction that has claimed many who seek help in 'the halls of the plagued'.

Adverse effects may include; high blood pressure, rage, violent outbursts, self harm.

It is recommended you cease using adobe products as continued use is detrimental to your health.

Note; Masks will not protect you from 'greyed out'.
