After I click on the Save button, nothing happens. I wait a few seconds, I press the Save button again, it grays out and the app freezes. No image is saved to the CC Library.

I'm on an iPad Pro. iPad OS 14.6. Adobe Capture v7.3

I don't use the app for any assets other than Shapes.

Attached is a screen recording.

Hi,

We apologize for this issue and also, responding to you a week late (our team was on 1 week shutdown). Could you please send an in app feedback? We will be able to get more details from there and can drill down the issue more easily. In the meantime, we will try to reproduce this issue on our side.

Regards,

Abhishek

Hi Abhishek,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I contacted Adobe support via chat bot and I was told to delete the app and
reinstall it. When I did, the saving issue was eliminated. HOWEVER,
a few hours later and again in subsequent sessions, when I attempted to
save a Shape, the issue repeated itself and the Save button froze. I can
only really save a Shape immediately after deleting the app and
reinstalling it. I use this app quite a bit to create masks for my digital
paintings in Photoshop. Please help.

Attached is a screen recording of the failed Save.

Thank you.

Hi Les Weiner,

Quick Update, our whole team is trying to reproduce this issue, we should get some update soon. In the meantime, could you please try couple of things and share your observations?

  • Install latest version of Adobe Capture, 7.3.1 and check if the issue still persists?
  • Could you try restarting the device, and try using capture in solitude?
  • Is your device has sufficient storage to save images generated while saving shape? We save source images during shape creation.
  • Could you try saving some other asset type like Colors or Patterns? See if capture still crashes for you?

Regards,

Abhishek

Hi Abhishek,

I restarted my iPad as you asked. I installed 7.3.1. It works! No crashes!
I can save Shapes and I can save Patterns to my CC Library.

Thank you and your team for your help.

Gratefully yours,
Les
