hello 🙂
Is it possible to find a harmony of eleven colors in adobe kuler?
And if it - is how can I do this?
greets Jasmin
Hello Jasmin,
Kuler does not support more than five colors as of now. It would be great if you can talk about a few workflows where you find having more than five colors useful.
Regards,
Kuler team

I would love to be able to 'Add a Colour' in Kuler. I work for a federation of schools, who use a different colour for each of their academies. There are quite a few (36) and would love to be able to load a palette and select the correct colours easily - and share that palette with co-workers. Please make this happen Adobe!

Another voice for more than 5 colours in Adobe Colour Themes ... it would be a BIG improvement.

+1 for more than five swatches.
More importantly, I would want this to be done intelligently. I'm not super-knowledgable with color theory and typically build color schemes off a 'parent palette' - typically using shades. I wonder if you could produce auto-generated 'child palettes' built off a parent scheme - using the same rules (analogous, monochromatic, shades, etc..)
Also...
+1 for color collaboration. I love what the Flat UI team created with their color picker - Flat UI Colors. It would be awesome to create and share more comprehensive palettes with your team.

In mapping, having more than five colours is required in order to differentiate between types of roads, let alone local features. I would also like to see more colours available in the Kuler succesor.

I am a textile designer and would like to have up to 18 colors please! I would settle for 12 if possible.

+1 for more than 5 colors. I am a video game developer and we could really use this app with more than 5 colors. 8-10 would be perfect.

+1 for more that 2 colours. I am a graphic designer and I am currently working on a brochure where having more than 5 colours would be extremely beneficial to me (I'm needing 10)... It seems like a huge oversight not to already allow this feature.

I also want more than 5 colors and be able to sync my palette so it could be available to everyone at my office. I am currently being a bit annoyed that this isn't a thing already. I always have to make new palettes, or save the pallette somewhere and then open it. It interrupts my workflow.

I just use spectrum now, works great and imports cleanly

I need more colors - I work with a global design team, now I'll need to look for a different way to provide our new brand color pallet to them.

I would like more colours. 5 is not enough. I can't see any reason why we cannot choose to have more if we need them

How is this limited to five? Please change this limitation.
Many of my client's style guides contain main brand color schemes along with secondary color schemes and not being able to contain the entire (12 colors for some) library for the brand makes it tough. 😕
Love y'all though! Keep up the great work!

i'd like to add my $0.02 to this and agree with many of the requests here (which seem to be the same request).
I'd even like just one more color option...but if you're going to allow one, you might as well allow ten.
That said, I think maybe that the way that Adobe envisioned Kuhler being used and how users are working with it might be slightly misaligned.

Thanks for your thoughts on this Craig.
It's one of the great things about a creative community.... tools are used in unique and various ways (some that were intended and others that maybe weren't). Although I don't know what the future of color selection will look like in Capture, I've shared and continue to share this content with the team.
Thanks again.
Sue.

As a new user of Adobe Color Themes/Kuler my first question was, "How do I add more than 5 swatches to a color theme?" Having access to only 5 swatches at a time is very limiting regardless of ones workflow or project. I'm currently working for a Global Packing Company that has strict brand guidelines. There are currently 8 main colors they use, plus 3 variations of those colors. I work consistently in After Effects and it would be nice to have a color palette no different than Photoshop or Illustrator. Which I'm sure is possible.

To me it's a must to overcome this limitation.
We need to build full color palettes for Material Design in our company:
Color - Style - Google design guidelines
Please let me know, when you're done with!
Best,
Arno

Preface-- I do web design, development and graphic design.
This thread was started in 2012 and it blows my mind that the option for additional colors still hasn't been integrated. As a user that pays $650/yr for Creative Cloud services, it hits a nerve that our feedback and needs are being completely ignored. Especially when the feature in itself is a simple integration. Color inspiration is found from a mood board, not a fully integrated color tool that's meant to be utilized daily in the design process. 5 colors works for interior decorators, not the majority of the Adobe user base that are graphic artists, digital designers, developers, filmmakers and so on.
Thankfully there are amazing desktop tools like Sip that make up for this shortcoming. If you're looking for a fantastic, intuitive & easily accessible color tool to use while working, Sip is it. Enjoy!

Thanks BakerBrite!!!
I couldn't agree more!!
I am CONSTANTLY giving feedback on multiple Adobe apps, that I feel are being completely ignored and are VERY much needed. AND on top of that are very MINOR changes in the grand engineering scheme of things.
We need more colors on Kuler.
We need a editable, resizable Re-Captcha option on Muse
And on the iPad Adobe Draw and Adobe Sketch we need the eraser brush to be pressure sensitive (this one is the most infuriating, why would you EVER have created this app with pressure sensitive brushes and a FLAT, BLOB of an eraser brush????
Don't worry BakerBrite, they won't ignore this. No, they'll tell us we're not posting in the correct forum

Six years later people are still asking for more than five colours in Kuler and still we hear the same answers? I have been paying for 7 years for 3 adobe products and still I cannot add more colours to Kuler. Still I have to make my own colour schemes and still unable to use Kuler because it's limited. There should be a standard of 5 colours with possibilities to add more. Shame.
Kuler teams first answer - Quote: "It would be great if you can talk about a few workflows where you find having more than five colors useful." eerh Choose any website except Adobe or Apple.
Please fix this.

All of the examples people have posted, for the need for more colors, prove that the additional colors in a theme would be really useful to people using the app. Although I did at one point think the team was considering the inclusion of this capability, this conversation hasn't come up in quite some time, so I no longer know what's happening with regard to it.
I can bring it to the attention of the product team and emphasize that it's a request that (at least with regard to this post) is over five years old.

Please do bring it to their attention. I can't believe that after 3 years nothing has been done about it. I have just spent 20 minutes trying to find a way to add the 6th color before I realised it's not me, it's Adobe. I can't believe that such, no offence but, stupid limitation would be imposed on an otherwise great tool.
Thank you
Marcin

Sue,
Please, bring it to their attention. I'm sure that a lot of people don't use it because of it's limitations. It is integrated in illustrator, I have it open all the time to search for and use colours, but the fact that I am limited to five colours with this important part of illustrator is a shame.
Thanks for your input,
Stephen
