Rearrange Assets in Library

I would like to drag and drop assets in the library to change their position in the panel. For example, if I add a new color swatch, I want to be able to drag it lower in the list rather than having the colors arranged by modified date or name only. Right now, if I have 3 shades of red and 3 shades of blue and I want to add one more shade of each color, they will be at the top. Unless I rename them, I cannot move them myself. This is especially painful because I cannot sort at all in XD.

Hello: You can sort your items into the order you prefer by using the Groups function in Libraries.

Thank you. I was just about to ask the same question. There is an option for "Custom Order" in the Groups function dropdown, but it is dimmed (not available). It would be great to simply drag the swatches to whatever position the user wants.

Is there a way?

Hi @tPetaccia ,

In order to reposition the elements within a group, make sure your Group By is set to "Custom group" and Sort By is set to "Custom order".

This should help you obtain full customization controls for your library

@tPetaccia Check to see if your elements are under a group. If not, elements outside of a group are organized in alphabetical order.
