The same CMYK color looks different in different apps.

Hello guys,

I'm struggling with one thing. I've noticed that the same CMYK color looks differently in Photoshop than it does in Illustrator. Color settings are synchronised via Bridge, both files have the same profile assigned, CMYK values are exactly the same, but colors still don't match.

That is true for CMYK colors only. When comparing RGB colors in RGB documents, everything is perfectly fine.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Tom.

Check the color settings in Photoshop and make sure they are correct for the type of work your printing.  Make sure the CMYK profile is the one your printer is recommending.  Then Save those settings.  Open up Adobe Bridge and Synchronize those settings across all your adobe applications.  That should solve this problem.
