Bold words not saving bold in PDF.

You can see the side by side of the Express editing screen and the saved PDF. Lots of bugs like this in your software. Very surprised as these are elementary bugs.

The first paragraph seems to have worked.

Compare it to the rest of your document.

I suspect its a font embedding problem when Express generates the PDF.
