Express Automatically Deleting Text and Not Even Acknowledging It

Community Beginner ,

I noticed, at first, that one of my pieces of text only saves the first line and deletes the rest. Which wasn't too bad, since it was only three lines in total and contained only a few words... but every time I add them back and refresh the page, the same issue happens, and I still only have the first line. And then I decided to go through the rest of my document to see if it was happening elsewhere (and that would have been even more horrendous, since the rest of the pages contain paragraphs and more complicated stuff)... and that exact issue, thankfully, wasn't happening. But, instead, it straight up deleted certain pieces of text: some titles I had for certain pages. It's really odd, and idk why it's doing this.

The worst part is I can't even get them back since Adobe Express isn't even registering that it's doing deleting them, so I can't get even get a previous version of my files (because it's happening to two that I've opened... I haven't checked with any more, since I don't want Express randomly deleting stuff from them, too) that still contain what I had initially, especially since I haven't been using my files in the past ten days. Express won't save any versions past that, and I hadn't marked any, since I didn't think Express would do something like this...

And because for some reason Express isn't just not acknowledging that it's deleting my text, it's not acknowledging the text itself. For the first problem, if I were to type on any line that wasn't the first, then backspace it all away, Express wouldn't even acknowledge that *I* deleted it, so I can't even use the undo button to get them back either.

Not happy at all with this, especially because I can't seem to recover what I used to have 😕 Please fix this soon.

Copy-pasting also only pastes the first line of text...

Hi @default37448178c61vqk

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue; it's not something I have seen reported earlier.

Is there a chance there is a red dotted line below the text object when you select it?

Either way, could you share a screen-recording of what you are observing?

Thanks

Abhi G

There's a red line under whatever the program sees as an error, but it's always there rather than when I just click on the text. I don't think it has anything to do with the issue, though.

I did figure out, however, that the bug seems to be limited to pieces of text that either end with a line that just has a period (I do this for when I feel it looks better. I'll start using other letters/punctuation until the issue's resolved) or if there are a few periods following the text (so, for example, the text was something like "Title.."). It doesn't appear to delete the whole thing necessarily--just the line where the period/s is/are and the line above, it seems. I'm not sure how many periods qualify, as I also had some title pieces that had five periods at the end, and they weren't deleted.
