Pixelated Images

Community Beginner ,

Dear Adobe Express Team, I would like to inform you about an issue I have noticed while using your platform. When I upload standard-sized images, such as letter or A4, designed in both Photoshop and Illustrator and exported in high quality, I have observed a significant degradation in the quality of these images when placed in Adobe Express. This problem is concerning as it affects image quality and limits the user experience. I hope that you can address and resolve this issue promptly, as it negatively impacts the utility of your application for those of us who rely on image quality in our projects. I would greatly appreciate any steps you take to improve this aspect of Adobe Express. I look forward to your updates and improvements regarding this matter. Thank you for your attention and your ongoing work in enhancing your platform.

Hi @Jane Osorio

Thanks for reporting this. I've reported similar issues to this to our developers previously. A few additional questions to ensure I fully understand the issue.

I looked at the attached screen shot but wasn't sure what the pixel dimensions are for your project. Could you share this?
Are you seeing the quality degradation when importing or saving?

Would it be possible to describe the steps to recreate the issue?

Thanks for the additional info,
Dave

Hello Dave,

Thank you for your response and your additional questions. I'm delighted to
provide you with more details:

The pixel dimensions of my project are 3300x2550 px, which corresponds to
the Letter size (8.5x11).

Yes, I am experiencing a degradation in quality when importing or saving my
designs.

The steps I follow to recreate the issue are as follows:

1. I export my design from Photoshop or Illustrator in PNG or JPG format
with a resolution of 300 dpi and dimensions of 3300x2550 px, which is
Letter size, as this is for printing and not for the web.
2. Then, I import this design into Adobe Express.
In some cases, the quality looks fine at first. But when I reopen the
project, it appears pixelated, and when I download it in JPG, PNG, or PDF
formats, the quality degrades significantly, and the image becomes
pixelated.

I hope this additional information is helpful in better understanding the
problem. If you need more details or information, please don't hesitate to
ask.

Thank you for your assistance.
Jane,

Hi @Jane Osorio

Engineering also wondered if it would be possible to get the original PSD and AI file you were working with. They tested from Illustrator and were having difficulties recreating the issue. Is it possible to share a link to the file here or I can reach out to you privately via private message to share it via email if you prefer?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi @Jane Osorio

Wondering if you might be able to provide example files still?

Hello David,

I hope you're doing well. I haven't sent you any more files or references
recently, as I noticed it was taking up a lot of your time. However, I want
to show you a high-quality design with letter-size dimensions in the U.S.
When loading it into Adobe Express, it experiences a loss of quality and
becomes pixelated. In the coming week, I'll try again with other designs,
hoping this issue doesn't recur. Thank you for your support!

Best regards,
Jane
