The bug has been fixed, and PDF should download correctly now, without a black background for that transparent image with filters. Could you please try again to see if it works for you?

Dear all,

sadly I get black artifacts when downloading my creation as pdf. What can I do?

It is caused by the transparent objects.
Please help me!

We're sorry to hear about this. I tried saving it as a PDF, and it works fine. Have you tried using the other suggested browsers (Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome) to see if it makes a difference? Try clearing the browser's cache and cookies and let us know if that helps.

Hi Sarah,

 

I'm so sorry this is not already working out of the box. We identified a defect in exporting PDF with some transparent images, that are detected as not being transparent. Working to getting a fix in soon. Thank you so much for reporting this! We'll let you know when the fix is available.

Hi Sarah,

 

Again, so sorry this is not already working. Until the out-of-the-box fix is available, here is a workaround you can try:

1. Create a new document, place the transparent image in the document, apply desired effects. Set the page background color to transparent. Download as PNG.

2. Go to the original document, and place the PNG exported at step 1 into your document. 

3. Export to PDF. It should export correctly, with transparency.
