Scheduled posts not pulling in images

New Here ,
Dec 04, 2023 Dec 04, 2023
Hello we completed a test for a scheduled post, it is not pulling in images...of course we expected the tool to work the same as all others. If we copy and paste the link for the post into the panel, we expect the image of the post to generate and also appear in the preview, that is how all other tools work, pls advise, thx as there is no point having text only when the original content and link we refer to includes an image, not pulled in via you API.

Can you clarify a bit what you are trying to do?
You can add images to scheduled posts, however, there is no link to enter.
Either you load them from your computer, or you load them from your Adobe Express projects
There is in fact 3 ways

1- schedule from the project page:

2 shedule and load images from computer & from the Adobe Express projects, on the same page

if you see my schedule view here, you'll see that all contain images...

Hope it helps!

We can see that the correct image associated with the blog post content displays on the SM platform for Twitter/ X only, but for LINKEDIN, it does not work and the API does not pull in the image, it only pulls in text. This is of course a hassle as we have no intention of spending time manually uploading all these images again just so they appear on every SM platform!!

Hello, no, the explanation does not help. For all schedulers this is how they work:

You add content.

You add the link to your post at the end of your content for instance, www.example.com/blog-post-1

If the link above of that blog post includes an image of a handbag for example, that handbag will appear on the scheduled post preview panel and it will also appear when the post is published on the social media platform.

As long as you include the URL to the post, the image of that post will display on the scheduled post. We are not going to upload every single image again separately. That is crazy!! No other scheduler tool works like that, it just pulls in images automatically. Those manual uploads may be ok for a bespoke campaign of maybe a few tweets but not suitable for day to day use when many posts are scheduled with content including images taken from our own blog. Besides the API is pulling in all data including images from the URL of the post for X, but for Linkedin it does not. Therefore, you are incorrect. You do not have to upload all those images manually. You just copy and paste the URL of your post and the image should display.

Do you mean to add a link and that the preview of the link appears as an image in the Linked In post?
I post links on Linkedin but very rarely don't post an image as well (I have been told the reach is better if you include a real image so I don't think I ever tried schedule one that way)
I will test that!

In the meantime, if you'd like this feature added, you can add your vote here
https://adobeexpress.uservoice.com/forums/951181-adobe-express
either by searching if anyone has already created a post, or if not, create your own.
The more vote on an idea, the sooner it is likely to be considered.

And sorry it did not help. You could try asking on the Official Adobe Express server to see if a member of the team has a solution for that. Unfortunately we are not Adobe employees, just regular volunteer contributors, hence our abilility to push ideas is rather limited.

Hello again, well yes that feature needs to be added...cannot see why I have to request it as a special feature as it is an old feature used 10 years ago from day 1 with all other schedulers so it should be standard........ If we cannot be sure an image will appear on scheduled posts with LINKEDIN, we cannot use the tool at all......there is little point, as we are not going to spend time uploading any more images that are already uploaded onto our own site's blog. That is a duplication of tasks, so the schedule tool seems to be only doing a half job..... We now have to delay everything because the tool is not working as we expect. What now??

Would you mind sharing the link that you are not seeing appear correctly on LinkedIn? I've tested other links posted from scheduler to LinkedIn and they work as you describe (as they should)!

Thanks!
Andy
