This should not have happned. Could you check the version history (see this post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-express-discussions/version-history-adobe-express/m-p/14341699#...)?

 

You should see periodic entries in the version history for the timeframe you were making edits. If you don't see them, could you share the URL of your Express file (from the browser's address bar when the file is open)? That way, I can look into error logs associated with that file, if any.
