Lyn, I have been trying to use this new version since it's release and I can tell you for certain that this is not the same version with new features. It's a terrible version that is missing the features that made the previous version great. The so called "new features" are useless too. As I keep saying, I want the previous version back. That's the only way you can fix this. Bring the previous version back, and add the AI features if you must, (the only new feature I see) to the previous version. Problem solved.

If you are using AE from mobile, you will be able to go there - and only there - and still use the old version for a little while, until the new version is eventually rolled for mobiles too (You can have the mobile version for free on the Apple App store or Android Play store)
That said, the mobile version has always been more limited anyway, personnaly I wouldn't go back to the old version (particularly concerning the new animations features and video editing) but I confesss that there is a slight learning curve to go from the old to the new:

Thank you for responding and for sending the link. I know about the mobile version but I never do any editing on my phone or tablet because I really need the power of a desk top and a large monitor to do the kind of work that I do. And it's not even the learning curve for me, really. I can and do use the new version since, with no warning, I have been forced to since the 16th. But it takes twice as long to get anything done, because of some of the time saving features that were removed such as the collage creating tool, and curved texts, etc. Also the new lay out is horrible and not intuitive in any way. I have tried to make do with it, but I'm sorry, I just do not like the new version, in fact I hate it.  And while I do like a couple features such as using it to create tictok videos, and it can be fun to play around with the AI features, though they aren't fully developed yet either, when it comes to creating the graphic designs that I need to keep up with my work flow, it is a terrible downgrade. I am actively looking for an alternative and sadly, I have no choice but to cancel my subscription when I find one.
