Hello Community,
My company has created a new Adobe account with a new license for me, which means that my existing Adobe Express projects can no longer be found in Adobe Express. In order to save the projects, we saved all data locally before the account and license migration, so I have the projects as EXPRESS files.
Unfortunately, I can't find a way to import these files into Adobe Express, because it doesn't open the EXPRESS files via the import functions, i.e. neither via “Upload media” nor “Import from other applications”.
Can anyone help me to import the files? Surely there must be a way to import these files, which come directly from Adobe Express, back into Adobe Express? Otherwise all my projects would unfortunately be lost...
Thank you very much for your help!
Best regards
Stefan

Hi @shower90,
Welcome to the community and thanks for reaching out!
Unfortunately, .EXPRESS files cannot currently be imported back into Adobe Express, even though they originate from the app itself. These files aren't designed for re-import but rather for storage or archival purposes.
To recover your projects, I recommend contacting Adobe Support directly — they may be able to assist with account migration or recovery based on your old and new Adobe IDs:

Click “Contact Us” at the bottom of that page to get in touch with the support team.
Let us know how it goes!

Hello @mahmoud_5524,
Thank you very much for your help!
I have just been in contact with Adobe Support for some time. After initial communication problems, I thought that I would be helped in the chat with someone from technical support. Just as we were about to arrange a phone call to clarify the issue, the chat was unfortunately canceled. So now I'm left without a solution again, which is very depressing.
Is there a way to get in touch directly with a contact person in my country to work on a solution without a language barrier?
Thank you very much!
Best regards
Stefan

In the meantime, I have been in contact with Adobe Support several times, both by chat and by phone. However, the support staff simply ended the chat twice without finding a solution, and the phone call was also ended by the support staff without a solution.
Is there no way to look at the issue with a contact person here in Germany and somehow find a solution to import the EXPRESS files, which I have locally, back into Adobe Express?
Thank you, best regards
Stefan

Hi
@shower90,
We're sorry to hear about your experience. To upload your projects to Adobe Express, start by uploading them to either Google Drive or OneDrive. Then, install the corresponding add-on in Adobe Express to access and import your documents. Once imported, Adobe Express will convert the project and save it as a new file in your "Your Stuff" section.
Here are some articles for more information- https://adobe.ly/44P5GF5 and https://adobe.ly/3EJSzdF
Let us know if that helps.

Hi @Tarun Saini,
unfortunately, this also doesn't help.
I uploaded the files to OneDrive and connected it to Adobe Express. But also here, I can only import .png, .jpg, .mp4, .ppt and .docx files. It's not possible to import .express files.
I don't understand why Adobe Express is not able to open these files, because they are Adobe Express project files! Surely it must be possible for someone to re-import these files there.

Stefan
