I have loved using Express for quick design projects that did not require me to fire up Photoshop et al.
I, like others, had many projects that were needed on an ongoing basis which have been ruined by the non-working new version. So sad, it was such fun to use. The 'new' AI stuff is really bad too. So, even that does not make the struggle to get anything done worth it.
Believe me, I have tried. I wanted to make it work.
Today I have downloaded blank versions of my ongoing projects (after spending hours on something that should have taken minutes) and I am off back to Canvas like many others here. The incomprehensible part here is that people are paying for this, we paid for having our projects on the app and should have a right to require you not release anything that is not downward compatible. I am as disappointed with this as I was with the 'save for web' saga in Photoshop.
You really do not care about customers, and this flop of a 'new improved' version is yet another example. Canva for me, and when it is time to renew I may well accept that I need to invest learning time on giving up Adobe altogether.
All really sad, as I used to really enjoy using Adobe stuff, I even paid for it from my own pocket when work would not so I could have access.
To Adobe: Don't bother responding - I am gone from Express and spending the rest of my day on Canva re-creating ongoing projects. Unless you can tell me you will restore the old version and be done with this charade of 'new upgrade', just don't bother me with waffle.

Thank you for your patience.
I just came across this post and wanted to see if the recent bug fixes made a difference.
Since you reported, our engineering team has been working hard to fix those pesky bugs.
Are things smoother now?
Please let me know how things are going, as I'm here to support you in any way I can, and looking forward to hearing from you.
