Hi, I have been working on a Adobe Express project, and all of a sudden today I noticed the layers button is greyed out and I can't select elements for modification. I tried it on different web browsers, IE 11, Chrome, and new Firefox, but it had the same behaviour. Tried going to an earlier version, but there was no change. Could someone help me with this, please?

Do you happen to have a lot of objects on the page? The layer widget can't support more than a certain number (200, I believe).
Hope this helps,

Thanks for your time Abhi. Yes, I had a lot of objects/layers, but later grouped them to reduce the number of layers. However I deleted a couple objects to see if that made any difference, but still it is greyed out. At the moment I am stuck with this diagram as I can't edit individual objects.

For this limitation, grouping does not matter (5 objects grouped as 1 still count as 5), but deleting does. It's not ideal, but the only recommendation I have is to break the diagram down into smaller chunks: copy sections to different pages, download them as transparent pngs (without background fill) and use a separate page to combine the downloaded assets.

Thanks again Abhi. Noted your points. Fortunately from the version history I could retrieve a drawing which has the layer button enabled - a great relief for now. Let me think about the design once again taking into account your suggestions.

Hi Abhi. By the way I have been trying to create a colony layout. The road layout is derived from google maps. Then I am adding the house numbers around that. House is represented using a square and then text added for the house number. Image attached. Since there are about 100 houses, it will come to about 200 layers (1 square + text). Could you advise how can I accomplish this without using too many layers? Thanks in advance.
