Layers Not Saving Properly in Adobe Express

New Here ,
Dec 12, 2025 Dec 12, 2025

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a multi-layer design in Adobe Express, and I’m running into an issue where some layers disappear or don’t save properly after closing and reopening the project. The layers appear fine while editing, but when I reopen the project, certain text or image layers are missing.

I have already tried:

  • Checking that all layers are unlocked before saving

  • Exporting the project in different formats

  • Clearing browser cache and using a different browser

  • Ensuring stable internet connection during edits

Despite these steps, the problem persists, especially with projects that have multiple layers or effects applied.

Could someone advise if there’s a way to ensure all layers are retained? Are there known bugs with saving layered projects in Adobe Express, or any best practices to avoid losing content?

Website link for reference (if needed).

Hi @emma_brooks,

Welcome to the community! To isolate the root cause quickly, please share the following (you can DM sensitive):

  1. Project link/ID and the exact steps where the layer order changes (e.g., after reopen, export, or co‑edit).
  2. Where it breaks:
  3. Reopening the file in Express
  4. Export (PDF/PNG/JPG/MP4)
  5. Environment details: Browser + version (Chrome/Edge/Safari/Firefox), OS (Win/macOS/iOS/Android), and whether it reproduces in Incognito/Private mode.

Is it possible, can you share the screen recording of the issue?

Regards,

Tarun
