Removing background

I'm trying to simply remove a person from the background, and download the image. I do not want to replace the background with AI. This used to work, but now it will not let me save with the background removed.

This type of thing would be done with Generative Fill. Could you confirm that's what you're using? If so, what exactly happens? You can give screenshots to show results.
