We have a lot of print ad resizes that we do on a continual basis. Are there any AI tools that would assist in the production of resizing ads for print? I see a lot of image resize options but mainly related to digital channels or photography. Let me know.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Depends on the types of things that you are needing to do and the size of the changes that you are trying to change it to.

  • If you are simply trying to resize for example from a landscape to portrait, tools like Generative Expand in Photoshop can be a great way to size images to a new dimension and Firefly can fill in the space you don't have in images. There are limits to the resolution though, as it generates 1024x1024 pixels, so for certain things you may need to use Generative Expand multiple times.
  • If you are looking for more resizing as in making images bigger, Adobe Firefly doesn't have that. For images, you can try tools like Super Zoom which is part of Neural Filters in Photoshop which can help increase the size of images that might not have the resolution currently.
  • If your content is vector based, then you can resize and it should work properly to print at the new resolution, but that isn't AI involved.

Thank you. I am aware of image resizing. I am speaking specifically to taking an existing print advertisment and resizing into all the production sizes for various publications which is different from graphic sizing of an image.

I use Topaz Gigapixel AI, pricey but 5 stars quality. It has a Photoshop plugin included!

@christopherb82490136 for some context - are you asking about enlarging or reducing graphics or are you talking about outputing designs to specific Ad sizes like half-page, quarter-page, etc. ?

Taking an approved print advertisment and having it resized to half-page, quarter page...etc. I am not speaking of resizing graphics to be used in designs if that helps clarify.
