Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem.
Users on Creative Cloud plans can use their credits on any standard Firefly feature (e.g., Generative Fill, Generate Image). However, users need to be on Firefly premium plan (Firefly Plus or Firefly Premium) to access premium features like Generative Video and Translate Video and Audio. Adobe is providing all users the ability to try out the premium features. Complimentary generations vary by premium feature (

I just received the access to firefly video. I tried it yesterday for two 5 sec videos, and after that, I kept getting the buy now screen. My account info says I have 1000generative credits. Do I need to do something to a setting or preference? I have Creative Cloud subscription .

Creative Cloud plans do not currently include premium generative features. However, we're providing some free access for a set number of premium feature generations (2 free video generations and 40 seconds of translation). To generate more than what is currently included, beyond free generations, you can add on a Firefly Standard or Pro plan.

I have the CC All Apps plan and have 1000 gen credits, but after 2 prompts, Video beta told me I reached my max generations. Is this an error?

In another thread, it was mentioned that CC All Apps doesn't include premium video and audio features. If you want to get more prompts, you need a second subscription to Firefly.
Which I feel is ridiculous - if I'm in the beta, subscribe to all apps, and have credits, why can't I just use them? They really need another $10/month?

Thanks for clarifying this, @droopydog500! Not an elegant system, to say the least. It definitely felt anticlimactic to wait almost a month to be admitted to the Beta only to run out of credits in the first 5 minutes after only two video prompts. I wish this had been explained in the Beta welcome email.

It said that I had to reach out to my administrator but then it also showed me credits on the side. So at this point, after reading all the other complaints, I'm just going to hold out until some information or news comes out about this situation. It don't need this feature for my work, it was just interesting to me. Thanks for your responses.

Hey Droopy, has it occurred to you that perhaps you need to pass along to your overlords that they need to reconsider their asinine two video limit as being not just absolutely ridiculous, but an insult to the users who already pay a steep price and were given the false impression they could explore this new feature?

I recently signed up for the Adobe Firefly Beta and attempted to generate two videos. One of them was of extremely poor quality, and I did not download either of them. However, I am now seeing a message stating that my credits have been exhausted.
Could you please clarify why my credits were consumed despite not downloading the videos? Additionally, how am I expected to provide meaningful feedback on the tool if I am unable to generate more videos for evaluation?
I would appreciate any guidance on this matter, including whether there is a way to regain credits for further testing.

was wondering about this also. after two free image to video renders it stopped free trial renders. i signed up for a paid firefly video @ 9.99 month. it seems that any render uses credits whether you download or not, even if you reject the render for quality issuess. someone else might have more info on this.

In all of the firefly products including text to image and text to video on the Firefly web site to Generative Fill in Photoshop and Text to Vector in Illustrator, credits are charged at the time of generation. They reflect the resources consumed by the generation. This is the common practice in AI systems.
Currently, accounts not subscribed to premium generation only have two complimentary text to video generations. That is described in more detail in the pinned message at the top of this thread.

The trial system itself feels fundamentally flawed. If the product delivered high-quality results, I might understand limiting usage. But when the output is unusable, it’s frustrating to have credits taken away for something that doesn’t even meet basic expectations. My first generated video was so shockingly bad that I would have deleted it immediately, yet it still cost me credits.
This entire experience has been a major letdown. After waiting so long for Firefly, I expected something more refined, not a restrictive, paywalled system that seems more focused on monetization than actual usability. As a long-time Adobe customer, I expected much better.

Our 2 results were pretty bad too, especially with people. WIth only 2 poor results we would never consider paying for Pro plan. Never.
We've never, ever seen a new creative or AI service roll out with only a 2 generation allowance.

With all the many free AI generating (text to video, etc.) software out there, I'm wondering if Adobe is feeling a bit behind the curve. But if that's the case, wouldn't Adobe want there AI software to be tested to the hilt by its users?
