Suggestions on how to create consistent characters

driving me nuts.  I need to have the SAME two chartoon childern doing various things.  Each time I generate a new sceane, the kids are different.  I've even uploaded a reference pic, and appears to have no effect.

 

Has anyone figured this out?

 

Please advise.

There is an idea for that in the community, but there is no way to consistently get the same character across all generations using just the prompt right now. :<
