Generative Extend Video in Firefly

New Here ,
Dec 07, 2025 Dec 07, 2025

I really loved the Firefly; I'm looking forward to its audio capabilities. I find that I have to use the frame to regenerate my video; there should be a provision to extend videos like Google Flow easily.

Hi @shefali_6421

Thanks for taking the time to tell us how you’re using Firefly, and what’s getting in your way. It’s clear you’re really pushing the video tools and thinking about them the way a storyteller or editor would, not just as a quick “one‑off clip” generator, and that’s exactly the kind of feedback that helps us grow the product in the right direction.

Right now, Firefly videos are limited to short clips, which is why you’ve had to rely on regenerating from frames to keep your scene going. Needing to juggle frames and regenerations just to extend a moment can definitely feel like extra work, especially when you’ve seen how tools like Google Flow let you keep building on the same shot more directly.

You’re absolutely right that having a simple way to “extend this video” without having to restart from scratch or manually chain clips would make the experience smoother and more creative. Feedback like yours helps us see where the current workflow feels clunky in real projects, not just in demos, and that’s incredibly valuable.

This request is being shared with the Firefly team so they can consider an easier video extension and more flexible timing in future updates. While there isn’t a toggle for this yet, your use case and comparison to Flow give us a very clear picture of what you’re looking for, and it aligns with where many creators want these tools to go.
