Adobe Fonts (Marvin) wird nicht mehr korrekt dargestellt

Hallo zusammen

Seit einigen Monaten nutze ich den Font „Marvin Regular“ über Adobe Fonts aktiv in mehreren Creative Cloud Programmen (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). Bis gestern hat alles einwandfrei funktioniert. Seit gestern jedoch wird die Schrift trotz korrekt angezeigter Aktivierung in der Creative Cloud nicht mehr korrekt dargestellt. Auf einem anderen Rechner zu Hause wird dieselbe Schriftart korrekt dargestellt. 

Folgende Symptome:

• Die Schrift erscheint zwar im Font-Menü, reagiert aber nicht auf Stiländerungen oder wird fehlerhaft dargestellt.

• In Illustrator und InDesign wird kein Text korrekt angezeigt, obwohl Marvin als „aktiv“ gelistet ist.

• Die Schriftvorschau in der Creative Cloud-App funktioniert einwandfrei.

• Andere Fonts funktionieren weiterhin ganz normal.

 

Bereits erfolglos getestete Lösungsversuche:

• Font deaktiviert und neu aktiviert (mehrfach)

• Creative Cloud App neu gestartet, auch CoreSync beendet

• Font-Caches gelöscht 

• Rechner neu gestartet

• Neue Datei in InDesign / Illustrator angelegt

• In alternativen Programmen (z. B. Illustrator, After Effects, Adobe XD) getestet – gleiches Problem

• mit CC Cleaner PC bereinigt

 

Wichtige Hinweise:

• Die Schrift wurde nie lokal installiert, sondern ausschliesslich über Adobe Fonts aktiviert.

• Es handelt sich nicht um eine Systemschrift, sondern um eine Adobe-Font-Lizenz.

• Da ich beruflich mit der Schrift arbeite, ist der Fehler leider produktionskritisch.

Gerne sende ich bei Bedarf mein Video, das das Verhalten dokumentiert und danke im Voraus für eure hilfreichen Tipps oder dem Support für die technische Hilfe

Thanks for sharing the details and the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I tried replicating this on my end using this font, but could not. Would you mind trying to use this font on a different computer and checking if you are getting the same results?

Also, try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.

Thanks for your reply and sorry for the delay.

The font is available on other PC devices. It worked again sporadically for a few days, but since today I have had the same problems again since starting work. I cannot find out why it suddenly worked again. I have tried to add the font again several times. Adding it worked, but it was never properly displayed in the cloud under installed fonts.

It should be noted that these files were edited with several Adobe accounts (several working on the project) but this error only occurs for me.

Repeatedly logging out of the cloud didn't help either.

Thanks for getting back! Since the issue seems to come and go, it might be a sync or cache-related glitch. Could you please try signing out of the Creative Cloud desktop app and signing back in to see if the font loads correctly after that?

If the issue persists, try clearing your font cache. Refer this article: https://adobe.ly/4i5ys7n.

If you still face the same issue after that, please share a screenshot showing how the font currently appears, and what it’s supposed to look like (maybe from your working machine). Also, just to be sure, kindly check that your Creative Cloud desktop app is up to date by going to the hamburger menu (top left) > Help > Check for updates.

Lastly, could you also let me know which versions of InDesign and Illustrator you’re using, along with the OS version?

Thanks for your answer. I deleted with the help of Chat GPT (cough cough) and files which are in \CoreSync and \TypeSupport plus files in the temporary folder, went back with the CC Cleaner and restarted the PC. In the meantime I have noticed that the same problem also exists with the other fonts, which should actually be installed locally from the cloud.

For me it is also a sync problem, but somehow I can't get a working workflow to fix the problem. My colleagues don't have any such problems

Leider habe ich immer noch mit der Schrift von Marvin Schwierigkeiten. Sporadisch trifft es auch auf andere Schriftarten zu, diese aktualisieren sich aber schnell wieder. Mit der Schriftart "Marvin" (nicht Marvin Round / Shadow, diese funktionieren gut) schmiert die Darstellung von Marvin immer wieder ab (siehe Screenshot) 

Auch in Illustrator und Photoshop, nicht nur in After Effects. Auch nach deinstallieren und reinstallieren keinen Unterschied. Kurz ging die Schrift wieder - am nächsten Tag hatte ich wieder diese Formatierungsprobleme. Liegt es an der Schrift selber? Kennt ihr vlt alternative Schriften, die ähnlich aussehen und wirken? (Gedacht für Kindergeburtstage Werbung)

Inzwischen habe ich einen neueren PC erhalten und dieser hat zum Glück dieses Problem nicht. Somit kann man den Thread nun schliessen. Für mein neues Problem betreffend Rendern habe ich nun ein neues Thema eröffnet
