Hello. I have installed the Memoriam Pro font for both Adobe and non-Adobe apps; however, it does not appear correctly in Microsoft Publisher. The bottom appears fine, but the tops appear cut off. When used in Microsoft Word, the font (specifically the 'h') appears different as well. Is this a problem with how Microsoft apps display the font, or is there a way to get it to appear correctly?

I think it may be a problem specific to those applications. I've seen similar on-screen rendering issues with other fonts that have really large swash glyphs. Bickham Script Pro is one example. When the live text object is converted to raw vector paths the entire letter shapes become visible.

Thank you for this. Do you have any suggestions to convert a live text object to raw vector paths? I have tried an app called Inkscape, but the font does not seem to be registered to it even though I can see it in other apps.

There must be something about the Memoriam type family that Inkscape doesn't like. Honestly, I can't stand tinkering around in Inkscape. Its user interface is just so clunky. It feels like using software from the 1990's. Adobe Illustrator is so much better. It's pretty easy to convert type to raw vector outlines and then use path editing and pathfinder tools refine and join script lettering. I rarely ever do anything with MS Word (or anything else in MS Office) so I couldn't tell you for sure what vector file formats Word could import.

I see. Thank you for the additional insight. I think I will fiddle around with Adobe products for a bit and then change fonts if needed.
