Question in regards to text licensing for freelance work

New Here ,
Oct 27, 2024 Oct 27, 2024

Im in the works to start freelance work for print ready designs and I had a question in regards to providing the source file to clients. I was unsure with the text licencing if this counts as infringement or fall under the commerical use of the font. I would like to be ahead of this to make sure im going about this the right way. Apologies if this has been answered in the past and may have missed it.

You can give clients PDF files of the work with font data embedded in the document. But PDF files are technically meant for view-only and print-only purposes.

If they want editable files, such as an Adobe Illustrator AI file or InDesign INDD file, they'll obviously need their own Creative Cloud subscription to open and edit those files. In such a case they can auto-activate the same Adobe Fonts on their end.
