Webfont "Eskapade" enthält abgebildeten Schriftschnitt nicht // Gültigkeit von Lizenzen

Hallo,

bisher nutzen wir Adobe Fonts kaum für Webprojekte. Für ein aktuelles Webprojekt möchte ich nun den Adobe Webfont "Eskapade" https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/eskapade#fonts-section in der Frakturvariante black kursiv einsetzen. Wie auf den Abbildungen dargestellt ist das der Schriftschnitt in dem auch in weiß "Eskapade" auf schwarzem Grund geschrieben wurde.

Dieser Schriftschnitt steht jedoch gar nicht als Download zur Verfügung, ebenso wie andere auf den Abbildungen zu sehende Schnitte (laut Monotype umfasst die Familie 16 Schnitte.

Wurde bei den Abbildungen "geschlafen" und Adobe stellt nur einen Auszug der Schriftfamilie zur Verfügung (und ist das öfter so?) oder habe ich einen Bug entdeckt und Adobe hat vergessen die anderen Schnitte zur Verfügung zu stellen?

Zweitens: Weiß jemand, wie lange Adobe diese Lizenzen zur Verfügung stellt (Vorausgesetzt ich bleibe Abbonent..)? Bei Webprojekten möchte ich nicht in die Verlegenheit kommen und meinem Kunden alle paar Jahre eine neue Schrift zu empfehlen, schließlich ist da im Idealfall das gesamte Corporate Design darauf ausgerichtet.

It is somewhat common for certain typefaces in the Adobe Fonts service to offer only a limited number of fonts rather than the entire type family. This happens more often with some type foundries than others. It all depends on the agreement made between Adobe and the company that made the typeface. Monotype is one of the companies that often doesn't share entire families of fonts at Adobe Fonts; Monotype has its own competing fonts subscription service.

There is no telling how long Adobe will keep a given type family listed at Adobe Fonts. It is rare for a type company to have its fonts removed from Adobe Fonts, but it does happen. Font Bureau is one example. Some of the typefaces Font Bureau removed were restored to Adobe Fonts by individual typeface designers.

If a certain type family is very important to a company and needs to be available for long term use then it is best to buy a license of those fonts rather than depend on a subscription service.

Danke Bobby, das erklärt einiges! Schade nur, dass Adobe bei der Auswahl der Bilder - die mich als Designer natürlich als erstes catchen - nicht darauf achtet nur Schnitte zu bewerben, die auch angeboten werden können.

I agree the advertising images for the fonts can be misleading. The images can show typeface styles that are not available at Adobe Fonts. The font advertising images are apparently made by the company who made or distributed the fonts. I see the same advertising images used at online fonts stores like MyFonts.com, Fonts.com and FontShop.com.
