I am trying to edit a pdf tht used Open Sans Light font. I have enabled the font Adobe, restarted my computer, but am unable to use that font for editing. An error message comes up saying The original font Open Sans Light is not available or cannot be used for editing.
Is there a workaround for this?

Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out and sorry to hear you are unable to use font in a PDF. This error generally appears when the fonts doesn't have the embedding rights. It might look like you have the installation rights on Open Sans Light font not the embedding rights. Would you mind checking your account and see fonts details and look for the licensing info?
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks,
Harshika

Actually, the Open Sans Light font available from Adobe Fonts does have the correct embedding privileges, editable.
However, Acrobat doesn't “see” the fonts from Adobe Fonts and thus, text in a PDF file that uses Open Sans Light cannot be edited.
The workaround is to download the Open Sans Light font from Google fonts, install as a regular font, restart Acrobat, and the problem should be resolved.
