Hyperlinking Courses

Explorer ,
Apr 04, 2019 Apr 04, 2019

Does anyone else have any issues when adding a hyperlink to a course into an email using the link button feature in prime? It's getting difficult to communicate/market courses to learners without this functionality working properly. We've done a lot of tests internally and a lot of times the direct course link will take us to our Author or Admin pages. For learners, it will take them to the Learner Dashboard.

Sometimes, it does work properly, but you have to have LMS open in a browser already. Most of the time, users will not already have the LMS open...

We've tried hyperlinking from Author vs. Admin and chrome vs. IE and have found similar results from both. Our workaround has been to add hyperlinks into the announcements via the announcement tool so the user is already in the LMS, but it's not always realistic to be constantly using the announcement tool.

Any tips on this would be greatly apprecaited!!

I feel like this post had replies and now they're gone. There was someone from Clarix Technologies who was testing this and even posted some screenshots. I am having the same issue: the Copy URL feature is not copying to the clipboard correctly (we discovered it was missing a piece in the middle of the URL). We have SSO and also a custom learner landing page. As for our SSO, as per Prime Support's recommendation, we changed the SSO config to SP initiated state. That did not fix the issue. Prime Support is now saying that the issue is with our custom landing page and a re-direct. I read that you also use SSO, but do you also have a custom learner page?

A common muscle memory mistake is to right click on the links and select copy url... that will get the wrong url.

Just click on the link and then it provides a simple url like this.

https://captivateprime.adobe.com/app/learner?accountId=965#/course/1326176

Only the accountId number and course number should change when copying the link for a course.
