Adobe Media Encoder v 22.4 is now available for download from Creative Cloud desktop app.

This update includes support for transparent layers in exported GIFs, performance improvements & bug fixes. It is recommended for all users.

Transparent GIF.jpgExport GIFs with transparency

Adobe Media Encoder now supports transparency when exporting GIFs, adding greater flexibility for short social media content.

 

 

HEVC mac.jpgHardware Accelerated Encoding for 10 bit 4:2:0 HEVC on macOS

Export times for your 10-bit 4:2:0 HEVC footage are significantly faster on Mac Intel and M1 systems.

 

 

HEVC AMD.jpgHardware Accelerated Encoding for 10-bit 4:2:0 HEVC for AMD

Export times for your 10-bit 4:2:0 HEVC footage are significantly faster on supported AMD hardware.

 

 

Better Smart Rendering.jpgSmart Rendering Stability Improvements

You can now use the smart render feature with supported formats when exporting on M1 Macs, Intel Macs, and Windows machines.

 

 

 

To update the app, open the Creative Cloud desktop application and click the Updates tab on the top left. Find Media Encoder in the list and click Update.
