AdobeMediaEncoder overloads CPU

New Here ,
Nov 21, 2018 Nov 21, 2018

Hi all,

I am really struggling to find a solution when I export a decently big After effect project with AME.

The CPU usage is very high and the fan of my iMac is spinning like crazy. It's making me a bit worried. I would't like to damage my machine.

I can't really find much discussion about it. Maybe I am doing something wrong with my settings even though I can't figure out what.

Any suggestions please?

Thank, thanks and thanks

Hi spyrok67341954,

Sorry for the issue. It seems like this AfterEffects composition requires more resources. Have you used any third party effects or plugins in the composition? If yes, share the names.

Thanks,

Vidya

Hi Vidya!
thanks for replying. Not really. I just use a couple of plugins from HitFilm for some layers. I used to have the same issue on an iMac from my previous office. It was a very powerful machine and yet the fan was spinning like crazy.

Does it have to do with something like GPU  maybe I'm using Metal instead of openGL for example?...i really have no idea
