I recently upgraded my macbook pro (2010) to High Sierra and changed my internal hard drive.
After editing a sequence in Premier Pro and exporting to Adobe Media Encoder, It's taking much much longer then prior to the update. A sequence that would take 1 hour or so is now taking 7-8 hours.
Never this problem until the OS update.
I tried encoding in all different codecs. I was using the video preset, Vimeo HD 1080p 29.97.
Could the OS update being causing this issue?
Thanks,
Michael

Hi michaels18324698,
I think the MACBook is too old to handle High Sierra. Even Apple says that it is compatible with MACBook 2010 mid or later but there are many technologies that are not supported by older MAC. For ex- Metal 2
Supported by the following Mac models:
MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 or newer)

//Vinay

Hi Michael,
I searched for an article which tells how can one revert the OS on mac. I found one. Check it out: https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/mh15216/10.14/mac/10.14
Though I'm not sure if it will help because the article mentions only 10.14 and 10.15 versions of macOS. I'd recommend you to get in touch with Apple support.
Give us a shout if you need anything else. We're here to help.
Thanks,
Shivangi
