For several weeks now, I have not been able to open Adobe Media Encoder. This is what I get on the splash screen.
This happens both when I try to send a project from After Effects or Premiere, as well as when I try to open the application directly.
This is on a Mac, all my CC apps are up-to-date.

Have you tried uninstalling and removing preferences before reinstalling? Given that you say it's been several weeks, I'm guessing you've restarted your computer at least once, but don't underestimate this step. You can either force quit the process, or even easier, restart your machine. It's also worth trying the Public Beta of AME just to see if it opens without error. This installs alongside the shipping version, includes its own preferences, and won't mess up your existing install (although it's having issues anyway). In order to use Dynamic Link, though, you would have to send your project from the corresponding public beta of AE and PR. But as a test, it's worth trying.

I just tried the uninstalling/reinstalling and trashing prefs, and it worked! AME just opened for me. (In case it matters, I also found Prefs files from 2017 and 2018, which I also trashed before proceeding.)

Glad to hear it! Yeah, lots of things can mess up preferences and can have a big impact on your app. Old ones do get left behind if you don't explicitly remove them, but those wouldn't have any bearing on this version.
