Okay so I'm fairly new to this but I've been trying to reduce some video file sizes. I accidentally recorded in too high of quality and my 3 minute video is almost 2 GB. No matter which video I load into the encoder (I've now tried with 50+) as soon as I start within the first 10 seconds my screen goes black, the AME icon turns green as if I have a pop up, but instead of getting a pop up it goes away and my encoder stops. Every time this happens I have to restart my computer to get AME to even start encoding. Someone please help I've searched every crevice of the internet and can't find anyone with this same problem. Someone please help I have deadlines to meet and depend on Adobes software.

Note* this happens between the 3 second and 10 seconds elapsed mark every time on any video in any format

Would be helpful to know the computer setup and AME version. "Screen goes black" sounds a bit like a graphic-card issue. For testing: Please try to switch AME to Software Encoding (CPU) instead of Accelerated Encoding (GPU) to check if this could be the issue. If so, I would check if you are using the latest Graphic-Card Driver on your system.
