How to apply installed filters?

Hi,

So, we already have the 2024 version of the encoder. Nevertheless, to my shame, I still cannot figure out all its rich possibilities. I found out that there is no special filter for deinterlacing. But so far I can't find a way to add something from the filters that are installed in Premiere without opening it. So, how can I use the filters installed directly in the encoder? When I start it, I see their list running through, but where are they, how do I apply them?

Thanks.

AME uses (shared) filters when projects are sent from After Effects or Premiere Pro. A few filters are configurable directly in AME if you click on the encoder preset and open the Effects tab. All other filters need to be applied in After Effects or Premiere Pro.

In this case, it might be a good idea to add a drop-down menu to the shared filters panel, through which it would be possible to add any installed filters directly to the file encoding task. And I would also suggest placing a "+" to create a processing pipeline. It seems that this would not create any particular difficulties for developers. Nevertheless, thanks for the clarification.

Not all filters make sense in AME right away (e.g. filters that need configuration or timeline placement such as transitions). We are discussing this in the team, and will possibly add more in the future.

There seems to be no need for restrictions. It's just that users should be informed about possible problems, but I would suggest leaving the choice to the users. I hope my idea will be useful.

Maybe there is some misunderstanding here. Are you talking about the overview of all installed filters aka Video Effects Manager?

Got it. I have added a feature request and we will discuss this in the team. I am pretty sure this will be a longer discussion.
