Media encoder opens automatically

AME opens automatically when I open Premiere Pro CC ,but with my type of workflow I prefer to open it manually when needed . How can I set it ( Media Encoder ) so that it does not open automatically.

Which Operating system are you on & how exactly are you launching Premiere Pro?

Windows 10 and launching Premier pro CC as normal.

Disable the Ingest option in the Project Settings menu.

I have same question on a macbook pro running sierra....it opens when i finish exporting a movie from fcpX

Hi Bluestardeerwomon,

Do you mean that you are not using any of the Adobe applications, but when you export your footage from FCP that opens Adobe Media Encoder automatically?
