Hello
Just updated my OS to Ventura 13.0... and what a surprise that you can't even launch Media Encoder...
I tried uninstall and re-install: same failure.
Thankfully Premiere is still working!
But still, a pretty let down! Adobe, please fix this ASAP!

Thanks to everyone who has reported this issue. We have confirmed the problem: for some customers, version 23 of Media Encoder will not launch on Intel Macs running macOS 13 (Ventura). Obviously, this is a critical issue and one we are working hard to fix. It's proved to be very challenging as only some customers see this issue and we have not been able to reproduce it within Adobe.
If you are experiencing this problem:
1. Open the macOS Applications
...These steps seem to work for now:
1. Open Application Folder
2. Right click on Adobe Media Encoder 2023 and click 'Open'.
3. Agree in security dialog.

Actually version 2023 doesn't work, but previous version (22.6.1) seems to be working! Interesting...

Hi there!
Sorry to hear that. Do you get any error codes or messages? Does it hang on the splash screen?
Let us know.
Thanks,

This is alarming. Everybody who is running into this issue, please share your configurations (MacIntel vs. MacARM, Rosetta vs. Native, GPUs etc). Thanks for your cooperation.
It did work fine on my MacBook 16 (M1 Pro) machine. We'll do more tests.

Ref: Adobe Premiere Export Messed Up
Adobe Premiere no longer Compatibel with MACs / Apple
Hi Fergus - can you please tell us all what is going on between Adobe and Apple? We pay so much for our subscriptions! Since 2023 an EXPLOSION of problems: 1. Adobe Premiere, latest Version 2.iMac Ventura 13.2.1 Exporting videos out of Premiere VERY Problematic! Setting H.264 - What has worked for YEARS, suddenly catastrophic muddle. For the money we pay on both sides (ADOBE and Apple), we want SEAMLESS. But no, it stopped WORKING!! 3. Mac cannot read exported Adobe Premiere video files. 4. Had to install old fashioned VLC player. How crazy is this?? 5. Premiere made Videos cannot be airdropped out of Mac 6. Premiere made videos cannot be imported into photos 7. Have to be converted BY A LOW LIFE 3rd party app into another .mp4 file ... and then it hobbles along. I am beyond frustrated.
I did this for years. WHAT IS GOING ON ???? Please help. Please fix! We are going insane out here.
(I lost 2 clients over this)

Just verified on Mac. I was able to use exported videos no problem on my MacBook Pro and in Photos. What preset do you use? What is the source? How do you export? Send sequence from Premiere to AME? Convert a clip?

Same here. iMac Ventura 13.6.1 (iMac QudCore Intel i7 32GB DDR4) with Premiere CC 24.03. Straight export or through waiting cue in Media Encoder (does open) mains 1 or 2 hours full render time for a video of 1min30 seconds without any layers in the edit, export 'match source'. Just filme 30 video's for a client and busy for two days now searching for a solution. Would be quicker to learn Final Cut and start all over again. What a mess.

Hi Fergus, similar problems here which I had never before. iMac Ventura 13.6.1 (iMac QudCore Intel i7 32GB DDR4) with Premiere CC 24.03 (updated them): straight export (or through waiting cue in Media Encoder (does open)) means 1 or 2 hours full render time for a video of 1min30 seconds without any layers in the edit, export 'match source'. And often without succes (mp4 files does not open and is huge 27GB! while in- and outpoint were correct). Just filmed 30 video's for a client and busy for two days now searching for a solution. Would be quicker to learn Final Cut and start all over again. What a mess, now downgrading Premiere to 23.0 but didnt solve the problem on iMac. Trying my MacBook now with Big Sur and Premiere 23.0. Pfff...this is gonna give me problems with clients.

This is how Files & Folders should look like: granting access to Desktop, Docume ts and external drives.
Do you have any antivirus or security software installed that might interfere?
