Wanted: smallest files with alpha

Hi

What are currently the smallest files with alpha that can be created in Media Encoder?

I need them as proxy files with alpha in PP.

(I know how to make an ingest preset etc.)

EDIT – it should be a very edit-friendly codec 🙂

HEVC (H.265) should be able to preserve Alpha Channel and is much smaller in size and bandwidth.

Thanks for the tip - i didn't even know that!

I need the files as proxies in PP, so inter frame would not be ideal. But there are INTRA frame types of h265, right?

Would ProRes 4444 in smaller frame sizes solve your problems?
